Plums

Plums

There are thousands of plum varieties that differ in size, shape, color, and taste. Plums are rich in vitamin C and also contain vitamin A, calcium, cellulose (fiber), and magnesium.

In Greece, a few decades ago there were no organized operations for plum cultivation. However, strong demand—both from the domestic market and from abroad—led many farmers to turn to plum growing, and to do so in a more systematic way.

The same trend can be seen in our cooperative. We started with very small intake volumes, and today—following growing demand and the guidance of our agronomy department—plum volumes have increased dramatically, enabling us to supply both the domestic and international markets.
